Terrific win over Rajasthan Royals.

In the second match of Indian Premier League (IPL) at Mumbai on March 13th,2010(Saturday),Mumbai Indians defeated Rajasthan Royals, at the Brabourne Stadium.

Yusuf Pathan’s century went in vain when Rajasthan Royals lost the match by four runs.

Man of the Match ,Pathan scored the fastest century in the IPL and the second fastest century in Twenty20, i.e. just in 37 balls, but wasn’t able to save his team loosing against Mumbai Indians.

Batting first Mumbai Indians scored 212 for six in twenty overs.With the contributions  of Ambati Rayudu (55) and Sourabh Tiwary (53) half centuries, Mumbai Indians succeeded in putting up an impressive score on board for Rajasthan Royals.

Chasing a target of 213 to win, Rajasthan Royals scored 208 for seven in twenty overs. When Pathan and Paras Dogra(41) were batting, it seemed as if match is slipping out of the hands of the Mumbai Indians. But got run out, and the match turned back into the stream of Mumbai Indians.

Pathan scored his fifty in just 21 balls, and hit nine fours and eight sixes, while Rayaudu and Tiwary scored their fifty’s in 30 balls.

Loosing early wickets snatched the match from Rajasthan Royals.

Shane Warne (Australian leg-spin legend) and Royals skipper rated Pathan’s century as the best hundred he has ever seen. Warne said that “I have played first class cricket for 21 years”, and Tendulkar has been the best batsman I had bowled to. But the innings played by Yusuf Pathan was the best one I have ever seen.
